![]() ![]() You can fiddle about with multiple windows, but that is a pain, come on! (reminder does this) No ability to show without fussing about a single list of things that are due today, and also due in the next few days or weeks.iPhone widget has high levels of density (5 items v Reminders 3 for the small size). The overall design and consideration, it is beautiful and a joy to use for the most part.So last week I decided to give Appel Reminders another go, and today is the first day that I can honestly say I’ve not opened Things, and I’m not sure I won’t flip flop again back to Things. And probably in most places there are no big issues, because I have not seen that much of posts about syncing issues. For the record I’ve been a long time Things lover, however I can’t help but ignore that Reminders has flourished over the past few years. So I belive that in some places there can be no problem with Apple services. Later then Microsoft opened more servers in region, the sync problem dissapared. Little before the summet while preparing my speech, I discovered that Onenote on my iPad didn’t sync the data. Went to the summit with iPad, didn’t took my paperwork with me. I once got even embaraced because of that. ![]() I remeber that some 6 years ago the same was with Microsoft’s services. I have even resetted my phone and Mac because of that. And sometimes even AN or AR syncs fast, but sometimes it takes literally days. Nor Google, Microsoft etc high volume services, they all work without problem. And are there some limits, or misconfig or the usage is so high, I don’t know. At least Little Snitch shows the traffic from Mac goes to Amazon servers. In Europe, Estonia Apple uses as much as I know Amazon’s servers. I suspect that it’s someting with iCloud. Bear syncs instantly, Apple Notes can take hours. Todoist, 2do sync is instant, with AR it can take hours or days. Also at the same time putting the task in the Todoist, 2do and in the AR. iOS is so close but not having NLP priority setting is such a dealbreaker for me! It's insane they don't have that. UPDATE: I think I'm staying with ToDoIst for now. For those not familiar with the iOS15 Reminders Update, they now support tags, smart folders (aka filters), natural language support, etc. For those who don't want to deal with the transition, that's another valid reason to stay I suppose (if I don't figure out a script/program to auto-transfer everything, I won't bother haha). If cross-compatibility mattered to me I'd probably stay at this point I'm heavily in bed with the Apple ecosystem anyway. I'd rather not make the transition if ToDoIst gave me any reason to stay, I just can't find one.
